About This Site

Proven Pet Supplies publishes hands-on reviews, comparisons and how-to guides for everyday dog and cat gear: walking harnesses, durable chew toys, cat water fountains, scratching posts and orthopedic dog beds. Everything here is used at home with a real dog and a real cat before it gets written up, and we say plainly when something did not work.

Pet Safety

Nothing on this site is veterinary advice. If your dog or cat is limping, drinking far more or less water than usual, refusing food, or showing any sudden change in behavior, call your veterinarian before buying gear to fix it.

Fit a harness so two fingers slide under every strap, and check it again after a few walks, because a loose harness can slip off and a tight one can rub skin raw. Supervise any chew toy until you know how your dog chews, choose the size made for your dog's weight, and throw a toy away once pieces start breaking off, since swallowed chunks can cause choking or a blockage.

Clean pet water fountains and change their filters on the maker's schedule, keep cords out of reach of chewers, and never run a pump dry. Anchor tall scratching posts so they cannot tip onto a cat, and wash bed covers regularly to keep fleas and odor down. Follow every manufacturer's size, weight and care instructions.

We update product information periodically, but prices, formulations, packaging, and availability change without notice. Always confirm current details on the product's Amazon page before purchasing.
